Andy Murray's Wimbledon final kit on display at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum
If you were unable to get tickets to see Andy Murray play in the Wimbledon final this year, fear not.
The Wimbledon champion has donated his winning kit to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, so fans can still see a piece of tennis history for themselves.
The world number two’s kit will be displayed in the 2013 Championships showcase, along with his autographed shirt, ankle braces, shorts and tennis shoes.
Ashley Jones, commercial manager of Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, said: “We are thrilled to share this unique piece of British Tennis History, thanks to Murray’s wonderful donation.
“The display doesn’t fail to conjure up emotions, taking you back to the celebrated moment history was made – we’re delighted we can extend this stirring experience to visitors the world over. It is truly a winning display.”
Also in the showcase are the outfits worn in the Wimbledon women’s final by champion Marion Bartoli and Sabine Lisicki.
