Hey! Welcome to the board
Like Iain said, his next match willl be the doubles - there was some rumour of him asking for a wildcard for Zagreb, but I'm not sure how the doubles will have affected the decision as regards to that

Accoring to The Daily Mail, he's playing Delray Beach in a fortnight.
Quote
Murray will stay in Melbourne to partner his good friend Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the men’s doubles. His next singles tournament begins in the United States in Delray Beach in 12 days’ time.
His analysis of a first trip to Australasia will include the consolation that the players who have beaten him in 2006 — Tomas Berdych in Adelaide, Mario Ancic in Auckland and Chela here — are all currently, or have been recently, in the world’s top 25.
Neither he, nor coach Mark Petchey, should be unduly concerned, but his weaknesses will be probed and adjustments will have to be made. The growing pains may have only just begun.
Yet more late nighters.
Cant wait!

Really? There is no sign of this on the
Player List
If that is true.... lets hope this one has live scores!!!

That players list is dated 2 January, Andy only tried for a wildcard after he lost to Chela, hopefully the newspaper report is true.
Then in February he is off to San Jose, Memphis, Las Vegas, lets hope he doesn't get lured into the casinos.

I've seen him play with Jamie, David Sherwood and Greg Rusedski and they all did well, he had a mixed doubles at Wimbledon with a girl from Israel and that didn't go to good, so if he stays on track with the men hopefully they won't get trashed and Novak is another of the up and coming young players to watch. It's just that the pair they are draw against are very good, so not really expected to win but they could put up a good fight.

yeah i thin if they were playing anyone except one of the top doubles pairings they would stand a good chance, however that is the situation theyre faced with and we just have to hope for the best

You would have thought Santoro must be getting tired now, he's played a lot this year and now he's into the last 32 in the singles and the heat can't help it drains you alot, am I making a good case for him maybe playing badly tomorrow?

i think it all depends on who makes the best of starts, thats why murray fell in the first round because he seemed to be the most nervous, see if you do make the best of starts then your confidence levels go up and you become more comfatable in the match.

Word on the street is that costa and gasquet have asked for zagreb wildcards in addition to andy. Hope he gets in. Would he take a week off otherwise? Or get into a challenger? There must be frenzied negotiations in the days before tournies.

I emailed Zagreb tournament office regarding a wild card for Andy and this was the reply I've just received
"Andy Murray will get WC into the qualies.
We are looking forward to seeing him in Zagreb."
from Mirna Grozdanae, Tournament Office
