Yep, not suprising really... as i said. Nothing comes at once.. just because he won an ATP title doesn't mean he has to play every tournament.  goodjob

Totally agree there  goodjob

I think it is pretty intelligent of Murray to withdraw as he has been playing a tour/Grand Slam event every possible week this year and continues to do it for a bit longer. We must realise that quality and not quantity is desirable and if Murray is in full form he can do just about anything in Nasdaq100 and Pacific Life as it is in a country he just loves to play and a surface which suits him.

If Murray plays well this week, nobody can stop him reaching another final. So it's definatley a good choice, he wouldnt want to burnout for the masters

Apparently it was all a mistake, it was Roddick who withdrew.  ANDY IS STILL IN

(my first message even though I signed up a while a go).  Murray is playing at Vegas next week. His name is on the list... so is Roddick's.

I fear the worst for Murray in Vegas next week.  Looks a very strong field.

Hi tarnj. There are forums at stevegtennis.com and menstennisforums.com that have much more up-to-date info than the official player lists. Hence we hear that Rodders is out.

Looks like a strong field, but then so did Memphis and San Jose.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

that field seems week all of a sudden. not looking at qualifiers it seems murray is in a competitive draw but one that he can handle... the site seems to have not been updated for a while... it lists andy's ranking as 64... draws come out tomorrow

Yes the entry list identifies players rankings 6 weeks before the event begins, hence Andy's low ranking. It took the rank from week 3 I think.

I think Monfils vs Murray will be a good match, they are both around the same age, And also Monfils is pretty emotional on court so it would be an hell of a battle.
