Poll and H2H to follow, though they have never met but got to find some good photo's anyway and think up a great poll
OOP not yet out but we could have all guessed that it wouldn't have been on day one, couldn't we
Thanks to John for picture of Andy

Thanks, Bev. I'd really like it if you open all the Andy vs threads going forward.
Here's a bit of Harrison from last year vs Novak. He's got a good forehand, moves well, knows the right tactic etc. Though he's a bit of hot head, I believe he'll stay calm against our Andy. He's very talented and a future slam winner.
Andy should be very on from the first point.

No schedule update yet on AO official website - if I remember, it didn't usually come out until the afternoon.
I'd really like to see who's on the daily sheets that they produce and give out with the official guides - that's usually a bogey for players on the front cover

Harrison is a good returner and looked to be without fear against Nole.
It will be a good match I think. Cant say it will be a-piece-o-cake, but I have faith in Andys experience and ability.

OOP is out - Andy is 3rd on Hisense Arena after 2 WTA matches - bet the crowd can't wait for Andy to get on!
Play scheduled to start 11 am local time, midnight UK time and 1 pm NZ time.
You'll all have to work out your own time from where you are
but this might help

here is what I think might happen in this match... Harrison will come out full force being very aggressive... and Andy will come out of the blocks quite slowly.. Harrison might go up a break... then Andy will peg him back... and Andy will take the 1st set 7-5... then the next 2 sets Andy will steam roll him and win fairly comfortably ... so the score might be 7-5 6-3 6-4 with Andy winning
don't bet on this prediction lol

Any time from 3am to 6am, wouldn't be surprised by any result in either of the WTA matches.

anywhere between 2am - 3am GMT for brit fans
melbourne is +11 hrs, the 2 womens matches should take 2-3 hrs and matches start at 12 midnight

I think the pattern of the match is hard to predict as we don't know what effect the Lendl factor will have yet. On past form, Andy will start slowly, lose the first set then slowly work way back into game and win in 4 sets. In the heat out there, this would be an utter waste of his physical resources so I am hoping he wins in 3; probably likely that the first two will be close sets, the third slightly more comfy. And hopefully no recurring injuries of any description!

Agree, it's difficult to predict and I can't factor in the Lendl effect either yet. That'll take time. But would be
really
surprised if it takes Andy 4 sets to work him out. Andy's form lately has been delicious.
