Nishikori has played some really great points to save himself when down break points. 2-5 in the 5th.
Interesting - I thought Tsonga was going to win this but he's 4-2 up.

Nishikori serving for the match. Can't see it being easy though...

I don't think Nishikori has a clothing sponsor.

He has several advertising patches on this red shirt.

I LMAO at CupNoodles patch on his sleeve.  You know, that high-sodium instant soup in a styrofoam cup.

Well done Special Kei.

My livescores shows Tsonga to serve but it could be telling me porkies.

This has been one hellava slog.

My livescore had frozen - I see Nishikori won it 6-3 in the final set.

Right, thread to be started!

Tsonga was very sweet and generous with the handshake.

Can Andy be this lucky?  He didn't get Monfils and Tsonga.

Well done Nishikori!
He really has arrived.
Jo Wilfred was gracious in defeat.
Too bad he's going out in 2 days  Whistle

Great result for Andy, he played well in difficult circumstances. Good it was a short match in that heat. The gods are being kind to him with Kei's match being a long one in that heat, should be an easier task for Andy. Now a long match for Nole against Hewitt and Ferrer to run him ragged and beat him in a very long tense match. yay cmon yeah cmon yeah Whistle
Andy had a very good interview with A.Croft, came over as very relaxed, spoke well and easily, expanded on his view. It is 'cometh the man, cometh the hour' time for Andy.
