AO 2013 F: Andy Murray [3] vs Novak Djokovic [1]

Reply

Five Slams from nine attempts for Novak now, reaching the final of all but two of them.

How big is he going to become? I can definitely see him catching Sampras at this rate. With Rafa's injury problems, over the next few years Andy will be his only real challenger, and he beats him more often than he loses.

Double digits easily.

As Lloyd and Becker asserted, he has raised the bar at the top of the mens' game.

This was almost the opposite of the US as Nole was injured in the last set.
This is news to me.

Nole has become scary  nervous
But had a doddle of a semi and two days rest. And  looked knackered.....and those poor feet shocking
Andy will beat him again, hopefully at Wimbledon. Andy's movement on grass is better than Nole's. yay

Have to agree with that.

I think Tamila is referring to the medical timeout Nole took?

Not Djoko's finest hour, IMO.

Yes Andy would definitely have the chance to beat him at Wimbledon - I think rather than Nole, Federer and Rafa will be the ones to threaten Andy more there. But Andy should have a great shot at the title.

I missed the entire match so, can someone please give me a summary of it?

Sorry maybe you should have watched it.

Hmm, I don't agree. Neither of them was playing that well today. I thought Andy could've won if only he had moved better. But it is what it is... Congrats to Djokovic, I guess.

I also really dislike this match-up. I hope Andy/Rafa play a few slam-finals soon.

Good point I think SL.  There's a wee bit too much maybe about Andy/Djoko dominating the sport for the foreseeable.  Rafa may well have something to say about that when he returns.  The Smug one may well have an Indian Summer.  And wouldn;t it be good to see one or two of the chasing pack kick on?

It's horrible, ugly tennis. If this is the future of pro tennis, I'll be doing more playing than watching.

Unfortunately, I had my competition preponed to today and had to go for it and miss the match...
My grandpa had to watch it without me and said that Andy dominated in the first two sets and just started fading later on...

The authorities need to look at speeding the courts up.

I agree. I HATE their matches, regardless of the outcome. The matches with Fed and Rafa are much more entertaining. Djokovic/Fed is also okay to watch. These two just bring out the worst of each other.
