After taking Roger Federer to 5 gruelling sets in the semis, and beating him in Slam for the first time, Murray now faces 3 times AO champion Novak Djokovic in the final.  Can Murray now avenge the final defeat of 2011 and the SF one of 2012?

Old Andy probably would have suffered mentally after such a big win but we now have a new Murray but more importantly, Lendl will keep him focused and on track.

Picked Andy to win from the start and am sticking with that. So Andy in 5 I think hope it's less but as long as he wins whatever it takes so be it. So good luck and god bless as always Andy.

I've a feeling you could be wrong this time - but who knows? Smile  However Djoko has had an extra days rest, and that after a very comfortable SF win over David Ferrer.  Also Andy will need to play his A-game more consistently than he did against Federer.  I don't doubt Andy's ability to recover physically from the Fed match, but, no matter how much he may have improved mentally, there were still worrying lapses of concentration in that match.  True, he has Lendl to keep him focused, but Lendl can't be with him on court to stick pins into him!  On the other hand, Andy just has to remember who it was that won the USO ...
Basically, I'm happy just as long as Andy goes out there and gives of his best.  cmon yeah

I think it'll go to 5 with the same outcome as USO final.

What a turnaround in 12 months since the appointment of Lendl. Wimbledon, Olympics, USO and AO finals. If he does win AO, this will be a springboard for a Novak 2011 style breakthrough.

I feel it is gonna be Nole in 5 but voted as Andy in 5 cuz I have never gone against Andy in polls....Come on Andy, please prove me WRONG!

Whatever the outcome Sunday I feel we have the top two tennis players in the world in the final. And whoever wins or loses it will be a fight between the two throughout most of the year and each player will win some and each player will lose some. As they say you can't win them all.

Hope he wins, but won't be a complete tragedy if he does't. Beating Federer was the trully important match of this tournament. That alone will be striking fear and dread into other players. My calculations show Murray has still spent about an hour and a half less on court so far. Up to the semi's it was:-
13.08 for ND v 8.56 for Murray.  With the semi's added on ND comes in at 14.37 and Mr M 12.56. By this stage in the USO he had done a couple of brutal 4 setters, whereas ND had had a fairly easy ride. he must be fit enough to take today's 4 hour workout in his stride. The high from sending Fed packing should make him feel invincible. He has beaten ND already in a GS, up to a short while ago he hadn't managed to beat Fed. All adds to confidence and self belief.
