That's a nice bonus as he doesn't have too many points to defend leading up to the French.

Hopefully Andy will play with a lot more freedom come Friday now he has defended his points.

All worries beforehand-ridiculous! Andy showed who is master and who is pupil today. brilliant performance, apart from the last service game. Now fingers crossed for Jo.

Key point was holding to make it 5-4 in the 1st set.  After that, although Andy did play well, Chardy just went away.  Sad, walking about.

Well that was a lot easier than I expected.
Andy upped his game and moved like a dream. yay yay yay
Now let's hope for a 5 hour match in the other quarter Fingers crossed

I just saw him being interviewed. Very relaxed.
Said he hasn't been too happy with his performance so far, a bit patchy, but that he played well today.
Said he's probably going over to Hisense to hit a few balls to get used to the lights.

Haven't seen much of Jo, but Federers' progression has had an ominous quality to it.   Eek

C'mon Jo keep him out there and work him, if not for yourself then for everyone who loves to see Federer beaten.  f*** you!
