The ANDY boys were really great today too. Love that part when they did another Andy chant in the 3rd set and the commentators said something about Andy not needing anymore encouragement. :-)

Apart from one time when the Edinburgh marathon was on one year!
It's still something of a rarity though. Around 21-25C is about the norm IF we get a half-decent summer. The last really hot summer was back in 1995.

Strange - I lost the commentary shortly after the start of the 1st set and only got it back when the match was over, yet I was watching on Eurosport Player ...

The strange thing is the fact the marathon was in March, think it was the 2011 one. Dad was really confident the cooler conditions in Edinburgh would suit him as well! Turned out to be his worst marathon he's ran

I think that must have been March 2012, when we had a mini heatwave at the end of the month and we saw temps in the mid-70s. Unfortunately we paid for it, like most of the UK, with a dreadful summer.

All I'm getting with that link is a very brief interview with Andy talking about his USO success, the help he's got from Lendl and his chances at the AO - ending with a cheeky smile (referring to the fact that Djoko is favourite here) and saying "but favourites don't always win"!

:yay:Yahoo Andy you did it! And pretty easily. I had to go to chorus practice and Andy's match was going on while I was on the risers. I kept pulling my phone out of my pocket and trying to not let the director see that I was looking at my phone. I almost jumped off the risers when he won. I look forward to reading all the posts and watching the match tomorrow.

Well that was an effin disaster for me!!! Never again will I rely on recording chuffin Eurosport decide to change match to 2 at last minute, so I got the first game in then they promptly changed back to 1 but the recording carried on 2 some screeching womens match aaaarghh so ended up getting up at silly oclock for sweet f all. At least the good news I found on my live scores/murrays world was Andy won comfortably well done honey
