If anyone wants a match to watch whilst waiting for Andy check out Berankis against Mayer:

http://www.viplivesports.eu/tennis/124465/1/f.-mayer---berankis-(court-6)-live-stream-online.html

Berankis is a real promising player. Only 22, was ranked in the top 100 at 20 but injuries screwed him over. Would definitely have burst on to the big scene by now otherwise. I'm confident he'll be the *next* young player to break on to the scene in 2013.

Berankis has just gone two sets up.

Winner faces Andy or Sousa in the next round.
Yes very interesing match that. Mayer is history, now and can go sightseeing in Melbourne tomorrow, unlesss he plays doubles. Very Happy

I know, why do they both have to be playing so well?!

Meanwhile Berankis has just beaten Lopez 6-2, 6-3, 6-1.

Berankis comprehensively destroyed Mayer. Mayer was poor but Berankis was stunning, could do no wrong and was hitting winners for fun.

Andy better watch out, next round is going to be a toughie against a relatively unknown youngster with bags of potential riding high on confidence. Assuming Andy wins later of course.

It won't do him any harm to have a testing match next, assuming, of course ...

Looks like Kirilenko could be making short work of the 2nd set.  Revised estimate to 2.30.
If history is anything to go by she'll choke trying to serve it out, get broken again for serve, break to serve it out, choke again, go to a super long tie-break, lose, and at 2:30 we'll be here tearing our hair out wondering if this match will ever end.

Of course alternatively she might just see this out with a bagel and it'll all be over in 10 minutes.

This Kirilenko feels so long that I am on the verge of committing suicide.

Anyway, any kind soul has the Rosol/Raonic match? I can't find it anywhere.

I thought Mayer looked spent but Berankis did look fantastic. I don't think he'll be able to trouble Andy in the real sense though but it will be interesting to see.
