I heard but couldn't understand what he said. I thought his interview with Courier was good and funny when he was talking about Lendl and his physio... No interviews in the US, stupid channel. Special thanks for letting me know about Eurosport....I got to see the match while my tv DVR'd DelPotro, interviews with other people, Cilic etc.

Cilic out and Seppi in after 5 setter.
Oh heck - another surprise - and my RTR selections up the spout so far.

I know he's played in windier conditions - in a gale even at the USO - but it seemed to be coming in sudden gusts, and even the comms mentioned it. I didn't get the impression that Andy was using it as an excuse.
It's an excuse in the sense that he didn't think Berankis would play at that level. He has credited him quite a bit but Andy looked slightly rattled at times and was not at his best. He probably thought his average game would sort Beraknis out but that wasn't the case. And we' saw the match too and the wind should have troubled both. It didn't trouble Berankis and he doesn't have a high toss ball. Anyway, Andy got himself out of trouble and that's more important.

don't think he was saying wind was a problem for both..more he had more trouble adjusting than Berankis did as his timing was off

As I said, it was a bit of strange territory for Andy and he made quite a few unforced errors as well that had very little to do with the win if at all.
Both Delpo and Cilic are out of the way and Simon is very common territory. Andy should fly until the semi.

He was more than struggling with the wind Aileen, he came out for the game in a bad place. I really felt that this match could have gone very badly for him.
I wasn't meaing to suggest that the wind was the culprit, and I agree that Andy was off form from the start, apart from the 1st three games. If it hadn't been for his serve I think this match could have had a different outcome.

Good night everyone. Would have liked to see Tomic vs Federer but have no energy left. Wish Tomic all the best though.
