I thought Simon still had to play Monfils?  And I bet Chardy is knackered after his win.  Probably go out in the next round, although I don't know who his next opponent will be.

Amazing that such a journeyman as Seppi has got through and then for Chardy to beat Del Po on the same day.  Hopefully very lucky for Andy all going well.

I just meant that some comments expressing impatience with Andy are hard to take when you actually realise how close he was to putting in a really bad game.   Also unlike the two winners just mentioned, Berankis had the danger of being  a cocky, new player to most people, with nothing to lose, while Andy new just how dangerous he could be.

I wasn't meaing to suggest that the wind was the culprit, and I agree that Andy was off form from the start, apart from the 1st three games.  If it hadn't been for his serve I think this match could have had a different outcome. 
He said his practice hadnt gone well. His timing is off when striking the ball.  He need to work on that, he said.

I didn't read it as Andy using wind as an excuse.  It was Jim C who raised the issue of the wind if I remember rightly.  Andy just said he was struggling and then went on to talk about mistiming the ball after Jim C raised question of his practice session.  Didn't catch what he said when he did the pointy thing.
Aileen I think Seppi is Chardy's next opponent and whoever wins then plays the victor of the Andy vs Simon/Monfils match.   Provided Andy can refind his game, then the draw has opened up nicely.

Good to see Andy safely through, even if it was somewhat error-strewn.  In a strange way, I'd been un-nerved by Andy making it look too easy so far!  He was right when he said Berankis would be tough (I know he always says it), given how well he'd been playing to get to the 3rd round, beating a seed on the way, and knowing his previous form.

Thankfully, when it came to the crunch, Andy was able to get through without too much drama.  I still think some drama is good to prepare for later rounds.  Oddly, Andy had the same score as Djokovic, although in a slightly different order!
