I see a lot of complaints, but what's the point in Andy playing his best if he doesn't NEED to?
Never come on here during matches, if Andy is playing badly the comments get me down.

Andy didnt have to play his best. Look at USO, I dont think he played that great from Lopez onwards but he still finished the job in style.

Our boy is doing great. I think I may stay up for the next match, now it's getting interesting!

Good to see Andy making more progress.
And I don't see why there is any need to complain about him not playing perfectly. The US open was quite a struggle at times but we all know how that ended up.

Andy is far from perfect, but a little self belief goes a long way. It would be so fab if he could win this - just to underline how good he is to himself.

Del Potro out, Cilic out.
Simon and Monfils both limping around as we speak. Another fantastic slice of luck for our man. Draw opened up in a similar fashion last year at this event, too.

It should be. Hasn't had one yet obviously, and I imagine the organisers will try to give Simon/Monfils the recuperation time they will need.

Sorry I just caught the highlights of the match at the AO website, what was he shouting at the end of the match after the handshake at the net? Sounded like Spanish to me but couldn't make sense of it.

I'm pretty sure Fed/Raonic will be at night.
He didn't get a night match last year either until the semis. It won't be any different this year, especially now that Delpo is out (if he gets that far).

I was happy to be able to see the match. Andy never really was in trouble, but it must have felt tough, not many winners! Looking forward to the next one!

Well, you know, I do try, especially when I've got money on the man to win the thing
. No, seriously, I just don't see anything to panic about.
Mind you, a question for you experts, not a trick one either, I've no idea what the answer is, but would love to know. Has Andy ever got to the fourth round of a major without dropping a set before? I'm not sure he has.
Aye plenty of times, most of them here!
At the AO he's done it four times (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011) - in 2011 he only dropped 21 games in the first four rounds!
Wimbledon 2010 he didn't drop a set until playing Tsonga in the QFs, and at RG 2011 he didn't drop a set until the fourth round.

Oh really, that's interesting. I suppose some of those early round drama's have been engraved on my memory too much lol.
It does go to show though, he has so often played so well at the AO, and to my mind he has clearly done enough so far this week, having got through. Nothing is written in stone of course, but as long as Andy's game lifts when he really needs it to I think (and hope) he'll be fine.
