Andy will next face Simon who beat Monfils in five entertaining sets.

Where's the poll? Make sure you include an option for walkover...

Simon and Monfils are a pair of clowns, and Murray would have been fine facing either.... Murray will win this and his next match, easy bet. Semi Finals is where the real action starts.

I'm not convinced Simon will even play. If he does make it onto the court Murray will dismember him.

Didn't see the match but judging from the comments about injuries, the error counts, struggling to serve, the time on court but above all else Simon's dire record against Murray, I can't see any other outcome.

Can't think of a worse opponent for Andy at this stage. Bad news.

Andy Murray - Olympic and USO champion! :)

After the match he had to be helped down the corridor and was holding onto the wall for support (he refused a wheelchair). He's postponed his press conference until tomorrow morning for medical reasons. I don't see how he can recover in time to play - would be risky for him to play with injuries and severe exhaustion.

Andy's h2h is 9-1; the only time Simon won was the first time they met since then, he has only taken a further two sets off Andy in 9 matches including a slam.

I hope he does play. If he's injured, and could make it worse, then I'd understand if he withdraws, but if he's just tired, he should play. He's got a day off, so even though I can't see him putting up much of a fight, I'd like to think he'd give it a go. He must know he's got next to no chance, but it would be a shame to miss out on the match.

I don't know about Simon as such, but I think if he can play it will be good for Andy, and I don't just mean the result. If practice goes better between now and Monday it will be good for Andy to continue his roll in matches, which might go off a bit if he misses a match. If Simon can play I just feel it will do Andy good to get another win under his belt before the fun stuff starts.
I will feel sorry for Simon in a way if he can't do himself justice on Monday, but with the record he has against Andy you would have to wonder if he would get past him fully fit. I doubt it personally. That said, I don't see how Simon is going to be in any state to play. I know he'll have Sunday off, but still. He looked out on his feet after the match today.

I hope this match happens - first one I can watch! No internet for 4 days, only a weak phone signal that could just about cope with live scores or BBC text, but not both. Frustrating! Don't have to teach Monday morning, so hope Simon recovers enough
Andy the only one in his quarter who didn't have a 5 setter today.

Without Simon's fatigue I may have given the 1st Set but not now. Think he'll start the Match but he may not finish!
