AO 2013 R4: Murray [3] vs Simon [14]

Quote

I felt quite sorry for Simon after the match. He won, but you would never have known it. At the risk of sounding cruel, he looked like he was dying out there. Still, you have to give him credit for fighting to the end.

I suppose you could question Simon's fitness, but then again the top four have raised the fitness bar so high, maybe we look at it in the wrong way, i.e that Andy and co. are ridiculously fit whilst players like Simon are the norm. Just a thought.

Speaking of Andy playing Simon, wasn't it Simon who twisted his ankle playing Andy in Monte Carlo a couple of years back, when Andy was booed (in that way the French do, bless them) for making him run?
He got two different injuries during the match I believe.

But I still need an answer: can anyone recommend a live stream?

As to Ad pop-ups.. I wait the obligatory 25 secs and DO NOT click on anything until it finishes its thing.. then I click the small x boxes.. then I click the 'full screen' then that's me off to the races. No more bugging ads after that.

Have a great time on your hols.

btw.. No snow in my neck of the woods currently.  Thought you didn't like snow? Whistle

I tried that because I'm thoroughly sick of the idiotic comms on the Eurosport streams on LSH who seem to take pleasure in having a go at Andy, but unfortunately got a loud clunking noise all the time, just the same as I got from SportLemon.  I understand it won't harm my laptop but it's off-putting to say the least.  Maybe Nigel might have better luck though.

At the right hand side of the screen there is usually people commenting on the match. If you go to the very bottom of this on the left hand side, you can switch off he sound.
It's very tiny, but you can mute the sound. Smile

Neil Harman just posted on twitter that Simon had to go to hospital after the match.

This match feels like a night match. A few reasons; one, Andy has yet to play a night match. Two, they probably thought Del Potro was going to make the qtr and that probably they had in mind to have it as a night match but that didn't work out. Third, Simon needs time to recover. Of course, he may as retire before then.

I don't think they'll put it as a night match because they'll think Andy will just walk it.

Tsonga / Gasquet will be a more interesting match.

Even so, Andy/Simon has more appeal than let's say Andy/Chardy or Andy Seppi. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

But you are right about Tsonga/Gasquet. It has more potential than Andy/Simon.

Just heard Chardy has injured his knee in doubles, makes it even easier for Andy looking forward.

At least if Chardy and Simon both pull out then Andy and Seppi will be on level terms so far as having the extra rest goes.  Also their H2H is 4-1 Andy, and Seppi's win was in 2006.

Murray v Simons fourth on Hisense - listed as not before 5pm so around 6am UK time. If it goes ahead as scheduled I get to watch Andy over breakfast but what are the chances I'm gonna be late for work having struggled to tear myself away from the match????

^ Thanks for the info, but really, unless Simon has undergone a miracle cure, then I still believe that (a) he'll withdraw (probably on medical advice), or (b) he'll be forced to retire during the match, because if he doesn't I doubt it'll be pretty to watch.  Meantime I'll post the time as per the schedule.

^ Yup, have a strong feeling he will retire during the match...
