Meantime Wawa is on fire against Djokovic, having just taken the 4th set 7-5 in the TB to take the match to a 5th.  The crowd are going wild!  Could this be the upset of the tournament?
Great match.  However, I suspect Nole will prevail in the end.  I've given up calling matches - just winds me up.  Go about your business, Andy and keep the heid.

I expect he probably will.  Wawa broke in the first game but Djoko broke straight back.

Nole seems mentally very tough in a consistent way?  Andy is tougher when he's in the zone, but it's not consistent.  As far as I can see, this is the thing that holds Andy back.  Lack of consistent belief in himself.

ALERT - By the way, it says in the match schedule that this match won't be on before 7 pm local time, but that doesn't mean that it'll necessarily start then.  It could be later depending on how long the earlier matches last.  Also Chardy suffered a knee injury in his doubles match against the Bryan bros, so there's a possibility that he could withdraw - and in that case Andy's match might be brought forward.

AO website says Andy's match not before 5pm local time, 6am UK

There's a legends doubles match at 11, then Chardy v Seppi not before 12.30, then Sloane Stephens v Jovanovski, then Andy.

I've voted for Murray to win in 3 but I would prefer Simon to withdraw. With Federer getting yet another night match,at least this other option would be something in Murrays favour.
Andy's not had any tiring matches so far, and he's unlikely to get one from a weary Simon, so I think it's better for him to play him than get a bye.  There's fresh, then there's unprepared.  Andy needs decent match practice to keep him sharp for the later rounds.

But Berdych hasn't got a great record against Djokovic. Mind you, he has knocked him out of majors hasn't he?

I can't warm to Berdych, so the idea of Andy beating him in a major final does have some appeal lol.
Only once - on grass. On Hard he doesn't have a chance, unless Djokovic is seriously below par like today (although he still tends to win).

Oh yes, I remember now.

In all honesty I don't care if Djokovic does win against Berdych, as long as Berdych can just keep him on court for a while, Ferrer in the semi's too.

Almost spot on EJ. 6am UK time tomorrow, so presumably the last match of the day session. I'm sure it is to give Simon time to recover, which I think is fair enough.

I completely forgot about the Federer vs Raonic match which should be by its own merit the night match but then again, Federer is getting too many night matches. He always gets a favourable schedule no matter where he plays mostly because he draws so much attention. Hopefully this nonsense will stop soon once Federer declines more. I don't like it because great matches are snubbed because of it and it also doesn't promote the game properly.

And yes, Andy's match isn't the night match but it isn't exactly the day match either as it's the last match on that court. It has more evening match feel to it. And it's fair to Simon too. I am sue the organizers are gutted that Delpo is now out or else they would have put that one in the night frame. Seppi is now most likely be Andy's next opponent; that is, if he gets past Simon tonight.
