How come you're over in NZ? Whats it like over there? Smile

Parents decided to move here in 1993 when I was 7. The life is good over here but I get a lot of stick for being English from the NZers lol. Its all worth it when we win the rugby world cup and stuff like that lol. That one was hard to take for the NZers as rugby is religion here.

 wave Hi there

My family and I are hoping to emigrate to NZ soon!  Should have been coming out next couple of weeks but house sale fallen through!  Whereabouts are you?  We've been looking at Rotorua/Bay of Plenty area.

Footy back on - was power failure in Wigan area, not just stadium.

LOL, heard that one before. Very Happy Got a friend who plays squash too. (yes, I'm talking about you Izzy!) Smile
I can understand the whole thing about squash.. but the thing that really gets to me about  tennis deprivation in the UK.. is that it was Wimbledon that kicked of what we know as tennis today.. and i can't really understand why it's turned into one of those games that 'a normal person' can't play.  dontknow England invented tennis - so i really don't understand why there is a lack of it in the country. I also think that this reason is why we don't have many good male and female players. Thinking about it... last 10 years have been pretty bad if we're no taking into account Tim's success and of course the new kid on the block!! Very Happy
...and when we do get a good tennis player all the press turns to them and they're in the public eye 24/7. So when it comes to Wimbledon i can't even imagine how stresful it must be for Tim and Andy to know that there are thousands of people relying on you!
Sorry, bit of a pointless ramble there - but had to get it of my chest! Wink

Yeah same, got Spurs parents and a Manc brother, and pretty much everyone here supports Man Utd or Liverpool, with a recent increase in Chelsea "fans". Blackburn is getting slightly popular due to Ryan Nelsen being in the team.
Do you ever go to games? I managed to go to 2 when I last went back to England in 1999.

roflmao Chelsea "fans". Must say though.. i have a lot of respect towards Jose Murinho. Amazing man.. just what he did with Porto is stunning. notworthy

Yea, i've been to a couple games with my dad - but fraid he's more into tennis than football so Wimbledon trips happen more regularly than Highbury. Frown Always nice to have a monthly treat of Freddie Ljunberg on TV in any case Wink
