Im sorry guys I find nothing disrespectful in Federers comments at all. He has said he doesnt know how fit Murray is but hed back himself to win in 5 sets if he has to. Some of you need to stop jumping on Federers back for everything he says.

You have beaten Djokovic, Rafael Nadal twice, Roger Federer three times in a row. Do these matches put you in a situation where you have a lot of pressure because you came here maybe the favorite player to win the slam?

Andy: No, I mean, those matches gave me a lot of confidence. Now when I go out on the court against them I feel like I can win against them on a regular basis, which wasn't necessarily the case in the past

This is taken from an interview on am.com Murray says he can beat there players on a regular basis now, whats the difference between this and what Fed said??

Because everything is focused on Murray. Are you trying to tell me that he ignored Nadal's name because he WOULDN'T back himself in a 5-setter against Nadal? He didn't say he'd back himself in a 5-setter against anyone. He specifically focused on Andy.

Clydey its clear to see that Federer thinks Murray is the one to beat which is why he said he can go 5 sets wth Andy Murray. He saw Murray as the biggest threat to his chances. Oh well, its all academic now.

That may be the case privately but everything he is saying in the press suggests he thinks otherwise.
