So Raonic had an easy win over Almagro I see. That's pretty impressive.
Andy kept a pretty good serve percentage throughout the match today and he must keep it that way or even higher against Raonic, as he won't be able to break Raonic's serves as easily.
This will be their first meeting on clay of all places. Hot damn!

Tennis Tv decide that we need to be reminded of Rotterdam and Dubai while waiting for the next match. Got to keep the Fed fans happy I suppose.
Think Nadal might win this one!

Great to be able to watch the first set before going to work. Then with the Iphone on my lap, I kept looking at the scores. Nice win for Andy. 9 Aces, 3 DF's, 1st serve % 62%, 1st serve Points won 81%, second serve not too good at 42%, but compared to Giraldo's 20% looked pretty good. Winning on BP's 75%, so all and all a good match.
Raonic may have his aces going, but I think that Andys speed on the court and his court sense will help him in this match.

Yes, Raonic will be very interesting. Andy will need all his game to counter his awesome serve, if he's on his game, as he appears to have been today. Still, he should get past him, with a little luck.

We all know Andy's got a great return game anyway and Raonic's serve is a lot less effective on this surface. I don't think the serve will cause Andy too much damage.
Then again I think back to the Berdych match where he was struggling to get any of his first serves back in court.
So I rephrase - if Andy's return game is on song like it usually is, Raonic's serve shouldn't cause him too many problems.

Raonic: 7 Aces; 0 DFs; 65% FS; Won 77%
Andy: 9 Aces; 3 DFs; 62% FS; Won 81%
But then again Almagro is a better opponent and Andy did lose to him on clay in 2008. However, Andy is the overall better player than Raonic.
Still, you can't say you won't be nervous and that certain pants won't be coming off by any chance!
