You've not got a poll MH - my guess is that a certain someone was having a look earlier for one and wouldn't be voting for Andy secret service agent

Very concerned for Andy. He many times has come unstuck against lesser mortals, particularly when he meets them for the FIRST time. It's going to be really hard as this encounter is on clay.

Prove my worries irrelevant, Andy. Go get the b*****d!

Giraldo will certainly be up for this one and fancying his chances as you guys say he is a guy who makes his living on the clay playing against one of the best players in the world who is not on his favourite surface he will sense a chance for an upset!

The pressure will be on Murray to put in a good performance you know to show that he is a contender not just here but the remaining masters and at the French Open, I think he will do it, but the pressure is on that is for sure.

Giraldo has said that his favourite surface is hard, not clay so the above poster needs to look at the ATP site on the matches today!!!

I never said clay is his faourite surface I said it is a surface he was raised on which he would have been being from Columbia! and I said Clay is not Murray's favourite surface which is a fact unless you are going to dispute that?

Looks like Raonic will be Andy's opponent in the quarters (considering he beats Giraldo)

Andy did actually say Clay was his favourite surface when he was 18/19. Think

Guess his opinion has probably changed since. Either way it's his weakest surface, which can't be disputed, and this is Giraldo's best surface, going on results.

Impressive result for Raonic, particularly after his defeat to Montanes last week.

Shame we have to wait another hour for Andy's match even though there's no-one on court in-between.  Rolling Eyes

Yes that is an impressive result considering how good Almagro is on clay. Hope Andy gets through - I'm really interested in seeing the Raonic/Andy matchup.

Like others I'm  nervous about this one. Andy has often come unstuck against clay court specialists on the red stuff and particularly difficult when it's someone he's not played against.  I haven't seen Andy play yet this week so don't know how he's doing but from all accounts sounds like he hasn't quite found his clay court feet yet the brilliant start against Troicki notwithstanding.   But anyway go for it Andy and show him what you can do on clay  cmon yeah cmon yeah

See.. I found out today for certain my true allegiance lies with Andy.  I didn't set my alarm to watch Milos in the middle of the night on a dodgy stream, whereas with Andy I do.  Never a doubt, really.
Just got up to read here Milos won, fantastic news.  Here's hoping it's an Andy/Milos one next.
Go Andy! clap...And it had better be a quick one because, like Craig I have to go out too.
