hug  Don't you just love technology! Rolling Eyes

Hopefully the Beeb will repeat it because I never saw the post-Wimbledon version.

I have a lot of these on my sky box but trying to find the easiest way to get them stored! With the old box I used to save onto a tape. I could then get someone to put it on a CD which would be better still. Is there a way to get stored programmes off a SKY box by a method copying data? My wife thinks that I am jamming up the whole system! Do not want to just delete them as I would like to revisit again in the future. My supergeek has failed me so ideas please.

I have the version after Wimbledon. Aileen, Ruthie, PM me your details, I'll whack it on disk, and mail it to you.

If you have a recordable DVD player, you can record onto that, then rip it to your computer using free software.   You have to watch which format your DVD recorder uses, as some are more compatible than others.  Ironically, it tends to be the cheaper ones that have the best compatibility, as the expensive brands like to tie people to their own formats.  Sony is particularly bad for that.

thanks a million prod; will do.
Sparkle: thanks for that advice as I'd been planning to buy a recordable dvd player in order to copy all the stuff I wanted to keep about Andy + some other stuff to dvd in the new year.  Although too late now, I probably will still do so so as to avoid another IT disaster hitting again so are there any key questions I should be asking when I look at available models?

You can now buy a special collector's edition of the Wimbledon final in a 3 dvd box set which includes 'The man behind the Racquet'. Just came across it on Amazon.
