I like the quote from Harman - doesn't sound like much rust on our Andy.  Let's hope the DFs were Jamie's  Whistle

I didn't see it but have heard about it.  It strikes me that Ferrer is either now beginning to show his age or he's just playing too much tennis just now, maybe because he's desperate to hang onto his ranking?

My own feeling, based on watching him, is that he's playing too much. He looked jaded to me, almost from the start. I think most of us know, just from every day life, that it's easy to get annoyed/frustrated when you are tired, and that is how it came across. He did have a point, but he really did lose control as well. I wasn't shocked, but just a bit surprised. I don't think I'd ever heard him swear until last night.

Coincidentally, does it surprise anyone else that a Spanish player would swear in English? Surely he could have found a Spanish expletive to use, if only to avoid being warned.

how come i didn't know the Murray's were playing doubles Frown
Well at least i get to see there next match and Andy's match today that should make up for it Smile

Did anyone see Ferrer's rant at the umpire earlier? He had point, but I don't recall ever hearing him flip out like that before. After that I can't say I was surprised to see Ferrer go out.
yeah i saw it i haven't seen him get so mad before usually calm

Keep up cooldude!   But it wasn't on a  televised court anyway so all you missed was following the score, so no great loss.

Janowicz!!!!!!

JJ just lost to Gasquet 1-6 4-6. 41% FSP and lots of unforced errors. Don't mind if he carries on like that in the doubles in a few hours time!

I do, I want Janowicz to do well in the doubles, if he's lost in singles. No offence to Andy here, but singles is his priority.

Shame that they lost the dubs but now he's been able to use it for some match practice, better for andy that he can concentrate on singles I think,  Did anyone see the match and know whether it was they played poorly or that their opponents played well? Or a bit of both?

It always makes me laugh when I see Federer in media interviews wearing his monogrammed hat and top. He is either worried that people won't know who he is, or he is losing his memory and he needs to wear these so he can remember who he is! confused Whistle
I believe he has tweaked his back, so we will have to wait and see how he gets on tomorrow.
