If he manages to win his first match then he'll probably do very well in the tournament.
My thoughts exactly.
I don't see any reason to worry about Andy's chances. I think if he can get through his first match he'll be fine. I know he hasn't played in a while, but he is on 10/1 win/loss ratio for the year, which has to mean something.
You never know, not playing for a while after the AO could even have done Andy good. It's not as if he will have been sat with his feet up. I doubt that would be his style.

Andy shouldn't take more than a set to get the rust off. Therefore, I see him getting past the first round, yes.

O..M..G..!!
Andy is at the Florida Panthers/Boston Bruins Hockey game with Ivan.
I was at a Panthers/Toronto Maple Leafs game earlier this week, and I didn't even think to look for him.

Can't wait for our champ to get back in action. I'm backing him to do the IW/Miami double this year. I feel he is serious about these tournaments this year as if he does well it could give him a great shot at #1 in the clay season.

I like Andy's shorts. It's a very beautiful dark blue.
Yes, I can't wait to see Andy get back in action either. This year has so many things in store for us.

^ I'm quite nervous for him this year. I think there are expectations - and I know it sounds daft, because we do expect and hope. I just feel butterflies for him more than the past couple of years. Wishing him the absolute best!

Nice to see the vid of Andy practising. Just cant wait to see him out there.
Could see perhaps a 'shock' loss loss to maybe Janowicz,Raonic in 4r/QF in IW if he's not sharp, but I think its unlikely.
I predict some decent points i expect at least 1000 points from the 2 events but hoping for closer to 2000.

In Bleachers report it says that Federer is taking a 2 month break after mid March I wonder if this is why Andy seems to be risking going into Indian Wells without doing a minor tournament first Is he concentrating on clay hoping to gather points there and overtake Federer?
Also it says that Andy has bought a £2million pound hotel in Dunblane Is he beginning to plan for retirement?

the hotel came on the market last year and was too good an opportunity to miss for Andy. It is where his brother got married. Has a lot of potential and a good investment for the local area saving 40 jobs.

Federer, I believe, is simply trying to preserve himself. He doesn't want to tire himself out by playing too many tournaments at this stage and age of his life.
As to Andy, I think it's a very good investment and not necessarily an indication of retirement. Tennis career is very short anyway, so perhaps best to get the 2nd career going already. I like men who plan ahead.
