I think because Nielsen wants to concentrate on his singles career though not sure where he'd have been playing singles this week so is odd week before wtf unless Marray is going to play with new guy in the future?

Perhaps Marray thought it was too good an opportunity to miss out on ranking points, and if that was his thinking, it's paying off.
Regarding the players that are too tall! (©PF), it seems as if Paris is playing very fast, so suited to aces, so suited to those whose game relies on it. It's a symptom of this particular tournament, not a trend for the game as a whole. I hope.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

What is Nielsen's obsession with his singles career? What singles career? The man needs a reality check. He's a men's doubles Wimbledon champion, FFS. In singles, he's ranked just below my gran.

Good news Querry has sent Raonic packing in straight sets. The more I think about this one the more I think it was not so much a case of trying to lose as not trying hard enough to win. The comms have said Fed is already in Lo don practicing with Henman (traitor...!!!). Lets hope for good things in the WTF but focus much more on next year. P

I did not realise that they can come so far up only winning Challengers
You win 80-125 points for winning challengers. Janowicz has won three this year (a 90 and two 80's) and reached the final of another. The guys with similar records on the challenger circuit (winning 3+) do tend to be in the top 80 in the rankings. Most of Kuznetsov's points come from challenger titles, Goffin and Klizan won a few too.
Janowicz also qualified and reached R3 of Wimbledon (115 points including qualies), so not all of his points are from the challenger circuit, although they do make up a large patch of his points. But many players outside the top 50 play quite often on the challenger circuit. Ones like Janowicz are rare cases though - those on a breakthrough year. Him, Klizan, Goffin, Zemlja, Kuznetsov, etc will probably only play a few challengers next year now their ranking is so much higher that they can get into the main draw of almost every tournament.

Hopefully spying on him, and perhaps leaving snotty tissues in his racquet bag!

Totally off topic but I just saw the chorus Forth Valley from Edinburgh compete in sweet Adeline's international competition. They were very good and hope they make it to the finals. I am a sweet Adeline from Kansas City.

Just got back and cannot describe what I heard announced by a Radio 1 newsreader. What happened?
