Signed by me or Andy?
Signed by your illustrious self as a memento of our time on MW, assuming that is that this book won't get published until his career is over.

chl - what a service to Andy fans!  Can't read it right now but just had a peek and I can see it will be something to dip into frequently.  It will be really interesting to read this older material from when before Andy hit my radar.

Yes, that's the material that most interests me, Ruthie.  I did follow Andy's progress from when I first saw him play at Wimbledon in 2005, but I suppose because I didn't realise that I could watch his matches online until I joined MW (I really was such a computer novice!), that a lot of things passed me by.  Also I didn't know any Andy fans until then either, so had nobody I could even talk to about him.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Crazy fool, Aileen.

I had a mad notion about ghostwriting Andy's biog/autobiog after he's finished, but I suspect I'm at the bottom of a very long list of candidates for that. But I would like to write some kind of book about tennis - maybe something about this era (the Big 4).

Yes I expect you are - but a book about the era of the Big 4 would be very interesting.  You'll have to be a bit kind to Federer though!

That's nice Ruthie, then we are both lucky and have something to keep us out of mischief in the festive season. Smile
Have a good Xmas, meanwhile we're sure to have a chat tomorrow during the match!

I got it, too. Halfway through. No real new information for me and written in that bland style that I associate with LTA magazines like Ace.

Which is the reason I didn't buy it.

Just read abit more of the book of Murray articles and it's so curious to read how clay was regarded as Andy's natural surface in the early days.  I know Andy has said it's his favourite surface and that he'd have trained on it in Spain.  But it makes me wonder why it is his worst surface now.  I guess that in learning to play well on hard and grass courts, he has lost the clay court skills he had in those days.

Maybe it's like riding a bike, and his muscle memory will come back again for the clay. Andy's movement is combustible which suits him on hard/grass, but he doesn't have the slide action required for clay.

Interestingly Nole has been gearing up for the upcoming season by practising/training on clay.. whereas the King Of Clay has been practising on his custom built indoor hardcourt.
