Caz...it would also help if you stopped telling people to take their own advice about not posting on this topic so we can all move on

Gee Elly. I'm about to post CHAPTER 14 so hang around for that.
Daisy's buzzed off so I won't get any feed back from her.

But we dont wanna lose you
I'm just pissed off at the egos that appear to be on here now. This forum used to be fun. When it gets like it's draining your soul - time to say cheerio.
Trust me - I'll be no loss!
I'll be honest, George, I'll probably sneak a peek at Chapter 14!

Elly.. please don't go.
I don't know and I don't care about what's happened before.
This reminds me of when me and my hubby moved into a new neighbourhood in Aberdeen. We were the 'newbies' and all our neighbours around us had been there since the year dot. Their kids had grown up together/fought together/made up together.. but the parents still festered over old wounds.
I was going throught some major health issues at the time, and couldn't give an arse about what what went down before, and invited them all round for New Year.
They all came.
We had a blast.
Will Chapter 14 be a blast? (George ?)

I'd honestly rather not go, but as a member who has been on here from just about day one, I don't recognise what we all started out as. I was gutted at Mark accusing me in an earlier post of - well quite honestly trolling - just because I asked him if a member might have been mistaken what he posted about. I can't be bothered with that level of nonsense. I adore Andy and have had the privilege of seeing him live lots of times and it has been my absolute pleasure. I used to love this forum, but it's not for me now. A lot of the founder members have disappeared - I think I'm probably the last to go. Good luck in the future - oor Andy!

I don't think you should go Elly because there is nowhere else to go. I've had a look in at other forums and they are boring. Everything changes with time and you just have to accept that. It's part of life. Cherrypick. Ignore the bits you don't enjoy. At the very least it's a place where you can say "I adore Andy" and the answer willl most likely be "Me too".

I agree, but Elly's left MW before and still come back - although I admit that MW has changed considerably over the last year. It's become more a proper tennis forum than the social website it had turned into by the time I joined three years ago, which is why so many "old" names have largely vanished, although possibly, given how young many of them were, they too have moved on.

^Iinteresting and if it were still primarily a "social website," I wouldn't have stayed.
Still plenty of threads where the "old timers" can chat and "socialise" anyway.

Well I think it is rather unfair to say that it was the new members fault for driving out the old and turning it into a tennis forum. But I agree with you all, egos around here can be quite - whats the word? - demoralising?

What's up with you all? Presumably everyone joined this forum because they are fans of Andy. Yes we can offer constructive criticism but personally if Andy never wins another tournament I will still love and support him.
Come on folks, bury the hatchets and look forward to a great 2013 for our boy.
