Yes Elly stay we are all different but that is what makes murraysworld I know people disagree about a lot of things. I have been in the same position but I chose to ignore it. Life is too short and the one thing that bring us together is our love of Andy and his great tennis. I expect you to post on the AO as the majority of us will.I will expect to see your posts so come on.

Well I think it is rather unfair to say that it was the new members fault for driving out the old and turning it into a tennis forum.

If you're referring to my post, then that was not what I was intending to say.  Nobody "drove" the longer-term members out or deliberately tried to turn it into a tennis forum - and as BBH said there are still plenty of threads around where these members can still socialise if they want to - this was just something that happened naturally.  After all, nothing stays the same forever.  Also it seems to me that there are considerably more older members (age-wise that is) now than there were when I first joined. In fact I'd have joined a lot sooner but was put off by the fact that the greater majority of members were obviously young enough to be my children, if not my grandchildren.  I finally plucked up the courage because I'd been a staunch Andy supporter ever since I first saw him at Queens and Wimbledon in 2005 and had found am.com stifling because everything was so strictly monitored it was like being back at school!

But I agree with you all, egos around here can be quite - whats the word? - demoralising?

Unfortunately you're going to get a clash of egos in every walk of society, and MW is no exception, although perhaps some of us would be a little less egoistical were we to meet each other in person.  The anonimity that these forums provide is a great thing to hide behind.
