So, the H2H is 6-1 in Andy's favour with Andy winning the last 6 of their 7 meetings.

Not sure how Simon was playing against Ferrer, but it did go to 3 sets.

Nothing out yet for Friday's schedule.

Schedule is out - Andy's 1st on Grandstand Court with play starting at 11 am local time, which is 4 pm UK time.  I'm of the mind that getting his match on 1st is good - he's resting (should he win) whilst the rest have to play their games (and yes, I'm ignoring the fact that Andy's not a morning person). Very Happy

I agree Bev that good for Andy to get his match out of the way.  I don't think mornings are the issue they used to be for Andy.  Apparently he was up and early yesterday getting his practice in.  With luck Simon will be tired after yesterday's match.  Not sure how long the third set went as I went to bed after the second.  Simon was playing pretty well.  Andy will need to up his game again, but I'm sure he will.  I like Simon but not that much!  Not sure how much I'll be able to see as going out early this evening.  Anyway  cmonandy

Some stats (just waiting for my tea to be cooked Very Happy) to whet your appetite

Simon's serve stats, against Ferrer, improved as the match went on 80% in the final set.

Andy needs to strike whilst the iron is hot cmon yeah

I know bbh love that smile too - but I'll take Andy even without a smile any day [though of course we all know it's rubbish that he never smiles].   w00t

I think the match time was just over 3 hours - very similar to Nadal's.  Another 3am start for me but at least it's Saturday, so no need to get up early Very Happy

Thanks Bev - what would we do without you and your stats! And they certainly favour Andy on the whole/  But I think there may be some errors in the dates - may partly reflect your side of the world but also surely Simon didn't play 2 matches on one day this week? confused
Just over 3 hours sounds good Bev (thanks for the info)- and although it was late afternoon, would probably still have been pretty hot and humid.

He's got more chance of losing against Simon this week than losing against Nadal I believe.

Hmm dunno, Simon will be knackered, very unfair scheduling for him after that long match, and Nadal can up his game when it matters. Will be very interested to see how he does against Fish.
