Just heard that Andy will be playing during day time tomorrow (surprise, surprise) but they don't know when exactly yet.  Pleased to see the lovely Simon beat Melzer.

Your source of information is correct Ruthie.  Andy is 2nd on Grandstand court with play due to start at 11 am local time.  He follows a WTA match.  Nadal is 2nd on Centre Court if anyone wishes to know.  Nole has the night match.

Wozniacki vs American teenager Christina McHale, a qualifier, ranked No.76.  Given McHale's record, I reckon Andy could be on court by 6 pm BST.

Just watch Old Man Federer defeat Del Potro 6-3, 7-5. Sad, walking about.

And here's welcoming back Mr Magic from his hols.  You can do it Andy.
Have a horrible feeling I'll have to go out about 30 mins into it - perhaps I'll just put the whole thing on record as not sure I can face that.  Have to admit I'm feeling  nervous.  But  cmonandy

Oh and bad news that Fed appears to have cruised through against del P.

Ruthie you don't need half an hour to know whether he'll win or not, two ticks is all:
serve firing - Andy wins, serve misfiring Andy loses Rolling Eyes
boogers, 'tis no longer "fat Dave" 'tis "slimmed down Dave."

A win in 2 hard sets is what I've voted but I think it should have been three with a first set loss. I really don't know what to expect but hope springs eternal ....... almost.

Ah but things -inc a misfiring serve - can change during a match, both ways bbh.  So even if I saw whole of first set I wouldn't know.  But I suspect I won't be able to resist the temptation of watching what I can when it comes to it. Have voted for the 1st set loss as I think it could take Andy time to find his game but, like Jan says, hope springs eternal so am hoping for better things after that.  As the song says 'wishing and hoping, hoping and   pray ing'.

It does seem to happen that a bad loss which shocks Andy himself, as I think Montreal did, sometimes helps to pull him up by the bootlaces and yet that wasn't the case earlier in the year. Lately - over Wimbledon and even part of the clay court season - there has been an added something to his game. I don't know whether it is extra confidence, a change in attitude perhaps, but I began to think a new phase in his career might just be evolving which would include a Grand Slam win which, in itself, would build the confidence for a few more.

I think you're right Jan......I'm hoping so anyway! He was just so unprepared for that first match last week! I doubt he'll make that mistake again in a hurry!

It's on Sky Sports 4 MT.
Jan do hope you're right.  I'd been thinking the same and it made Montreal that much more disappointing.  Let's hope the effects of the new diet kick in too and help in deal with the heat and humidity which I seem to remember did for him last year in Cinci.  Wasn't there something about him not preparing properly in terms of food and drink?  I was on holiday at the time so don't remember the details.
