DC 2014 World Group R1 (GBR vs. USA): Murray vs Querrey (4th Rubber)

Remember the days we couldn't even get near the World Group, feels amazing to be in the quarter finals. And Italy should be beatable shouldn't they surely? At the very least you'd expect Andy to win his 2 matches. Can we win the doubles or one of the other singles? Who would it be - Seppi and Fognini I guess?

I'm assuming Italy will pick clay.

I doubt Ward could beat either Seppi or Fognini, but after Friday's performance anything could be possible, at least against Seppi.  Fognini played in the doubles for Italy as well yesterday, partnering Simone Bolelli, so if the same happens in the QF I think GB have a good chance of beating them.

Seppi is terrible, Ward could win that match if he plays solid.

Well I did say that after Friday's performance anything could be possible, and Ward's confidence must have been boosted by that win even if Querrey wasn't playing as well as he did today, but then these guys nearly always raise their game when playing the top players.

Going by what I've been reading about their antics this weekend, then yes!

I like the optimism, but realistically Seppi is a much better player than Ward. Obviously Ward has a chance if he can repeat his heroics here, but I think the doubles might give us the best shot.

No problem Aileen,  I could've been wrong.

I can't say I blame you, because even the comms here were going on about the two different things at the same time, so some confusion is understandable.
