At least you'll be able to see more than one match on those days.

One interesting point i'd like to raise...(cue everybody falling asleep) Is there not an argument for Nadal to enter Acapulco this week?? The only downfall of this for me is that he wont get as much money but surely when you are Rafa Nadal then that isnt really an issue, is it?? The advantages of entering Acapulco for me are: - His favourite surface - Almost guaranteed 500 ranking points and a nice trophy - The Big One: Spain are playing Serbia in the Davis Cup on clay a week after so it could be nice practice to tune him up for that so he doesnt get caught cold not that that is a real possibility. The Davis Cup factor for me takes out the argument that it would be an unnecessary change of surface before IW. So really has he gone to Dubai just for money?? Discuss guys (and girls, dont want to be sexist now do we )

I would have thought that a tournament which he should have had to play 2 of the top 4 to win (Assuming the draw goes to plan and all the top seeds win) would be far more satisfying I think money has nothing to do with it.

I agree. I don't think ranking points and minor trophies matter to Rafa at this point. He should compete in whatever gives him the best preparation for his next priority. If he thinks the Davis Cup is a priority then he should play Acapulco. If not, he should do whatever gives him the best preparation for Indian Wells and Miami, which is Dubai or nothing. Personally, I can't see why any top player even competes in the DC - in its current format it seems like a complete waste of talent to me.

I wish ANDY can get there ASAP

Haha, the amount of 'ARG' and 'ESP in there is frightening.
In actual fact no-one from the 'temperate' climate - (south) FRA, ITA, BRA and MEX all being hot sunny places
