Let's get things into perspective here and remember where Andy was this time in the last two years.

Where would we be without the murraycoaster? I had to resort to picking up dog poo in the garden after 5 match points - even that was preferable to seeing Andy lose a game he had been up 40 - 0 in!
Well done, Andy. Not the most memorable of matches from either player but the win is all that matters - I would have bitten your hand off for a score line of 6-3, 7-5 to Andy at start of play this morning. Onwards and upwards!

Wow it is a good feeling to beat your enemies, especially when they are capable of being as good as Thomas. Oh well I'd now call that an important win.
Oh and get that right up ya, AK400!

Thank good he's broken the Berdych bogey at last - wonder how much his new Czech coach contributed to that!!

At long last and in 2 as well. He'll never beat Novak playing like this.
He's never going to look great against Berdych and so far Djokovic hasn't been playing lights out either.

Indeed. Ive a feeling they will both raise their game tomorrow, well its pretty much a given isn't it? I'm going to give Andy the edge for this one.

Andy Murray - Olympic and USO champion! :)

So pleased Andy got the win! I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy Andy/Berdych matches though, it's such a tough matchup for Andy. But he did so well to fight through the tough moments in the match and hold on at the end.

Thought he didn't want to win in that second set. Started to look like Andy of old. Hope Lendl gives him a kicking. What a cheat Berdych is, comms said he clearly hit the serve before the incorrect call of out and then had the nerve to argue. with Mohammed, who had given a wrong call against Andy earlier, but hardly a peep from Andy than. Still, a win is a win and 3-2 looks so much better than 4-1

Maybe it's because I've been away and not plugged into tennis and Andy..but I watched the match calmly and was in absolutely no doubt whatsoever he had it in the bag.. even during the entire 2nd set and the 7 match points.

"Hey, don't count Tipsy out yet! " ^^^True he's more than capable of causing an upset at this level. I'd love Andy to serve up some revenge however

I'd love Andy to serve up some revenge however Look I mean Murray should be able to get revenge on Tipsy for his loss in the 2nd round in Dubai in 2010 in that unlikely event of that match up coming true!
