Round 2 against Chiudinellielliellielli same time tomorrow. I wasn't expecting this until Thursday! Not long to get over today's illness...
EDIT: of course, the final is on Saturday so it'll be a match every day from here on!

A bit about Andy's Swiss opponent:-
Only child of parents Lorenzo and Reni, who are both Information Technology specialists...Speaks German, English and French…Considers strengths as serve and baseline play and hard courts as favorite surface...Listens to variety of rock bands and favorites are: Dream Theater, Metallica, Coldplay, Züri West, Patent Ochsner, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Transatlantic, Audioslave...When at home, enjoys spending quality time with friends and going to concerts...Big fan of soccer team FC Basel and likes to play jassen (Swiss card game)...Considers best moment of his career: playing first Davis Cup match in 2005; Winning first ATP World Tour doubles title in Gstaad in 2009 (w/Lammer), reaching third round at US Open in 2006 and '09 and first ATP World Tour semi-final in Basel in '09...Received 2009 Comeback Player of the Year Award from Federer at Indian Wells on 16 March '10...Player he admired growing up was Ivan Lendl...Future goals are reaching Top 50 and winning a singles title.
H2H - though these 2 have never met.
Hopefully someone will have a video of his match vs Davvy to look at.

Bev
- Brilliant pics!
And thanks for the background info.
Interesting that Lendl was his childhood idol.

... if in fact he is ill. In one report I read Andy said only that he'd felt queasy throughout the match and thought that that might have been due to him over-hydrating before it. Let's hope it's the latter, particulalrly as, thanks to the usual biased scheduling, he faces a second consecutive match in the heat of the day.
Inevitably, following his lengthy struggle against Berrer, it hasn't taken the media long to dredge up the post-AO spectres of 2010/2011. Unfortunately Chiudinelli, who's been as high as No.52 (Feb 2010) has nothing to lose and will probably go for everything, so

Every other match I've seen players were making loads of UE's. Getting used to court/conditions etc. When Andy played it was windy and we all know how he likes the wind... not.
If he's not feeling OK hope he withdraws. Nothing to defend. But if he plays

Watching highlights of Andy's match, he produced some wonderful shots, and the errors he made if they had come off would have been winners. I think he was getting used to the speed of the court and the sunny conditions. Although not happy that he has once again got the hottest time this can play
into his hands, because as we all know he can cope with the hot conditions. Unfortunately once again I will not be able to watch the match live, but will record it, however my prayers and thoughts will be with him.
Interesting to read what Lendl thinks about Andy and how he is, and how they are getting on, all very positive.

Andy playing in the heat of the day again, Fedevil is in the evening, this must be more than a coincidence, maybe he says he wont play if he cant choose his slot.

Players have just come out on court.
Annabel talking about Jamie suffering from a bit of food posioning and a few of the other players too. Annabel saying that it's hotter today than it was yesterday. Poor guys.
