Saw 10 mins of Lisicki-Radwanska. Do people actually pay real money to watch the WTA?
It seems that the women get paid than the men in Dubai, in singles anyway. Does that often happen? $2 million total, but differently spread
Women's prize money: Singles $446,778, Doubles $67,476, 1st Round Qualifier $1,422
Men: Singles $409,170, Doubles $120,850, 1st Q $735

If I had £10,000.00 to spare, I should have bet it all on Federer missing Andy. Why on earth would anyone be surprised by this outcome.
However, I don't think that Del Potro, Tsonga or Fish will be that easy for his"unroyal highness". This time particularly against the first two may result in different outcomes from the last times Federer met them.
Going forward. If Andy were to meet Djokovic in the semi-final it will prove how far he has progressed under the tutolage of Mr Lendl, particularly if he were to win. I feel Andy needs this hard draw to prove to himself and others the progress he is making.

Davydenko was injured this week when he played Del Potro at the Open 13. A right foot injury, we will see if he has to withdraw or not.
BERDYCH is the first real test for Andy in the Quarters. So three strong tests to pick up the trophy!

Berdych is always a difficult opponent for Andy - would be nice to get another win over him to make up for Paris! Novak's draw looks easy so I'd expect him to make the semis with no problems. Good opportunity for Andy to get another chance to play him early in the season, and try out some new tactics maybe.

Ugh - don't like R1 qualifiers.
Given their track record, if he and Berdych do meet I reckon this could be good measure of just how far Andy has come under Lendl's coaching, although Andy wasn't at his best in Paris. Also glad to see Djokovic as a potential SF opponent. I'd rather see Andy play him there than in the final because he might feel more relaxed about things. And if Andy does try out new tactics, after what happened in 2010 let's hope he keeps quiet about it this time round!

Andy's record in Masters is superb! Yea, even against the mighty and BL (Before Lendl) too. Nobody should be worrying unduly.

Umm - this isn't a Masters ... I'm fully expecting Andy to try out new things here in preparation for things to come, so we could see a few wobbles as a result, although at least Andy is in a better place mentally now than he was in 2010/2011.

Aileen, apologies.I really meant Andy is fine most tournaments these days. It's a very strong field and I hope he does try out some new stuff but also hope he keeps his mouth shut this time if he does.

Much harder than Murray's, with the exception of the SF opponent.
