I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

According to Roger the courts are playing slower than last year and no reward for big hitting this probably makes Ferrer even more of a favourite than he already was to begin with.

Can anyone on the ground in Paris give us a weather update? BBC has it as cloudy with showers for the morning. To brighten up in the afternoon but still with a chance of showers. Temperature 20C

No rain before 7pm RG time. That gives the match about 3 hours to wrap it up. The temp is lurking around the 20s or let’s sticking mostly at 20. I don't think the conditions will be a factor today.

The next few days look like a total washout. I really hope all the players will be able to finish their matches today.

The other day, when he was asked by Mary Carillo on the courtside after the 3rd round match as to why he’s struggling so much here, he said it was the blue clay, travelling back and forth etc. that threw him slightly off. What utter nonsense if you think about how he practically bragged about the blue stuff right after he won it and how it wasn’t playing anything different and now suddenly it threw him off.

Which brings me to your post AK, if what Federer had said is true, then the courts aren’t playing slower than last year but the fact that, the blue clay played much faster and now, he’s having trouble adjusting the slightly slower surface here at RG. In other words, the surface isn’t playing any slower than last year. It’s been the same and it has been any different, many players would have spoken up by now.

Having listened to the interview, I don't think that Andy fears Ferrer but knows that he's in for a tough match.

It's always a tough match against Ferrer, no matter how good you are.

Just starting the third set in the Shvedova/Kvitova match. Kvitova a break up but 3BPs down.

Think we're looking at 3:15 BST at the earliest.

We wouldn't get the straight sets match would we and this is the match on my tv.  Wonder if they will then go to Nadal's game Think

Ah, my question has just been answered - they are switching to Nadal right now Rolling Eyes

The most dangerous thing about Ferrer is his consistency undoubtedly. He does not have any major weapon but he’s extremely consistent off the ground and will not give you any free points. He also never gives up. So with that kind of abilities and an injury free health makes him a really tough opponent. Andy, on the other hand, is all about skill and talent and a far superior player all around, but it’s the surface that gives Ferrer the slight advantage.

Just showing an interview with Nadal - he eats chocolate everyday but sometimes he eats too much of it.  I know the feeling tender

I'm predicting 1, 3 & 4 for Nadal.

Lovely bright colours on the centre court - Almagro is in florescent yellow and Nadal in florescent pink.
