That's hilarious given the circumstances. lol. Who did he say that to? Dani? I would have thought he's the closest of them all but I could be wrong.
No it was a parody acc/ he said it to one of the spectators in the crowd lol

When the courtside microphone picked up his heartfelt ode to a lost cause at the start of the fourth set – "I've tried my tits off!" – two sets to one down and having just dropped serve for the fifth time after a break, it was hard not to feel for him.

Its true, people have short memories, almost everyone outside of Serbia thought Novak was a one slam wonder who would slide down the rankings soon enough. If it can happen for him then Andy has a chance.
To me he is the more more skilled player.
Nole was extremely mediocre in those days. Lacked fire power, a will to win another Slam etc. and was regularly getting beaten by Federer, Nadal and Andy (had 3 wins in a row over him) and by some of his regular enemies (lower ranked players - Tsonga comes to mind), so obviously almost all hope was lost, but clearly something else, something unseen was also on the rise. So who knows with Andy, right?

Right.
Its a bit messy at the moment but he is holding his own in the rankings at least.
The changes Andy is making will eventually click into place.
And when they do we will know if Andy is a true contender or not.
But as the realisation of the need to adapt has come so late to him, we are simply going to have to be more patient.
But you never know, a good result, such as a final at Wimbledon or a medal at the same venue a month later might set everything up nicely for the US Open.
I can't believe he is going to put up with Nadal beating him on a fast hardcourt forever. Its unnecessary & something that really shouldn't happen on paper.

He said he was trying his tits off - what more can we ask!
I'm glad it was David he lost to in the quarters rather than any of the others, and pleased for David getting through to a semi-final.
Me too Elena, love David, for me I thought he went for his shot so much more ,ok he missed but it's much better play. Trying his tits of, bless him |

Thanks Nigel and Elena. Well really hope smugfed loses tomorrow then. And encouraging that Andy has slightly more points this year than last despite not getting to AO final or RG sf. It shows how much he lost out last year because of his post-AO slump.
Me to hope smug Fed loses tomorrow, I didn't realise Andy will be better of either, re ranking points.

Federer will be history in time too and his records will be shattered by someone else in the future as well. Nothing is permanent in this World.
Good cant wait,

Really hope Fed loses, did you all hear or read the article where Fed told the crowd to shut up? They need to boo him as he comes on court, and keep booing.

Yes I did, he is just so arrogant and rude, it will be great if the crowd all boo him . Let's hope the joker is on form , still won't Nadal to win the title.

Look fed was rightly voicing his annoyance at a crazy spectator who called out during a point, some spectators really need to learn proper tennis protocol that was not on.
Will be a tough match with Novak but he beat him last year at this stage and can do so again!

For those who missed it. Too bad we don't have one of Andy saying "I'm playing my tits off man!".. now THAT would have been funny.
