Well, after seeing Murray on the floor in agony on Thursday, didn't see this match coming.

Courier was quite dismissive of Gasquet in my opinion. He's flaky yes, but he's so talented, and he's pretty damn good on clay - and he'll have the backing of the French crowd.

Presuming Murray is healthy, think it might be a tight 4 setter, with a tie-break or two.

I was really surprised to read that Gasquet is 6'1" - he doesn't look as tall as that.  I think it's because he's very long in the body and comparitively short in the leg - maybe they ran out of material.  I bet he looks much taller sitting down!

Four sets, couple of tie-breaks, could go either way. Depends largely on how well Murray plays.

All of Richard's victories have been during a Masters event and all of Andy's victories have been during a Grand Slam event.  May this trend continue.

Their last match (the bad)



Their last match at the French Open (the good, though it took 5 sets)




Murray on Gasquet: "We have had some unbelievable matches. At Wimbledon he served for the match and here he led by two sets and a break. I don't want to be in that position again. He can play some unbelievable shots, he comes out swinging, hitting winners and can be difficult to play against. I'll need to stay solid and try and wear him down - that's worked when I've played him in the Slams before."

Andy could beat him if he plays solid and serves like he did yesterday. it is the best of 5 and Andy can cope with that., Depends how Andy feels mentally at the moment i think he will do it.

I don't think we can rely on Gasquet's flakiness and he seems to be on something of a come back and of course will have the crowd behind him if he plays as well as he's been playing so far this year.  My main concern at present is the weather conditions.  It's now wet and cool at RG and Andy's worst clay court performances have been in just such conditions and that was without the back factor.  A vulnerable back could go again in such conditions.  If they're getting our weather a day later it could be pretty bad tomorrow and may even have rain delays nervous

Forecast for Paris tommorow is 63 with sunshine and showers. However after that it goes right downhill.
