My big hope is for an Andy win at the O2 - he has not tended to have the best of luck at the Tour finals, so hoping he can win and complete a 'home treble' (Olympics, Wimby and masters cup)

would also underscore what a good year its been for him (and not just the spaniard)

Just a pity it's not on grass, eh?  With all the turmoil at the top of the rankings this year I wonder how long it will be till we know the final eight.

I'd love Andy to win the WTF. Andy's had a fantastic year and winning the WTF would seal it nicely. I just hope he gets a decent crowd to play to.

I'd love him to reclaim Shanghai too. He's got such a good record there and he so nearly did it last year.

I'd like Andy to play Rafa. They've not met for nearly two years now - hopefully they'll meet in Shanghai.

It'd be good if Andy could win one of Shanghai/Paris and the WTF. But the main positive in Andy's season is that he won Wimbledon - nothing can top that. Smile

I too would love him to win WTF (especially as it would mean I'd see him win one of the SFs on the way  Whistle ) But also I think it would be good if he could make a decent showing in Asia as that in itself could restore any faltering confidence prior to 02.  Don't care about Paris.

If Andy should get to the final in Shanghai this year I hope to watch without a migraine! Last year I had the mother of all migraines for Shanghai finals day, but I tried to watch anyway - well, you would, wouldn't you??? Trouble is, tennis is a bit too quick, because of all the movement, when everything is spinning around you. The end results were not pretty!

I would like to see an Andy at his best play Rafa. What a prospect!!

Like to see him storming through the Asian swing & top it off with a WTF win.

Wouldn't be such a crap end to the year then, would it, considering the rest of the year has been pretty great!!!

Why not?

1000 points is 1000 points.

That's true, but then again with the WTF so close after Paris I'd rather he be fresh for that personally.

that's my reasoning in a nutshell tj and that's why the very top players don't tend to give their all there now it runs straight into wft

well he's never got to the finals but he's got to SFs twice, so hasn't done worse than his ranking I think.
