For me, quite a lot of the struggle for Andy has been in his head, and not with his tennis. I really do think he will now have the confidence to to beat anyone. Rafa is the one who needs to be a little afraid the next time he meets Andy.
That's exactly what I was suggesting. I think Andy's issue hasn't been his tennis as such, but his belief in himself. I don't think the belief is an issue now, not against anyone.
As I said before, I sense that Rafa has always been aware of what Andy could do, and has known he's needed to play his best for that reason. I think Rafa will be very wary indeed when they meet again.
I have to admit that the thought of Andy playing Rafa (or Fed for that matter) used to frighten the life out of me. It doesn't frighten me now. I'm not suggesting it's easier, but Andy just looks so different out there now, gives off such confident vibes. It makes the thought of these match-ups quite fascinating.
