urgh, atrocious. This isn't even a coiled turd of a match. More like a sloppy, post lager-and-vindaloo binge cowpat.
which suprisingly enough as far as you lot are concerned - HE WON! Well, well, Andy Murray wins a tennis match - he didn't play his best but then he didn't need to - just a practice as far as he is concerned - a typical top player's first round match.

Solid win, sure he'll up his game as the obstacles become bigger. Smile

Maybe some of you guys shouldn't watch murrays first/second round matches, you only seem to get moody when watching one...

No doubt. Looks like he's here to win this one, rather than mess around with new tactics (or whatever he was toying with at Dubai),

I think we do it mostly to humour each other.

Just youthful banter - each one trying to outdo the other in 'witty' remarks! Me and Elly luv 'em to bits - most of the time.

It's pretty much game time these days only above 500 level.

He really wasn't playing that different against Kunitsyn to the way he was today, so his Gulbis mentality may well be back for the next round.

The Top of the Line BBC Sports News reports are telling us today (and on Ceefax 485) that he LOST against Kunitskin. Gee, now I'm REALLY confused.

Nah, don't worry, I only pick on the true mentalists. You know, the ones who confuse reaching a Slam final in the last couple of months with a period of decline and a cause for dismay. I'd be self-sectioning if I were them.

It's a pity you can't have a dialogue without resorting to this kind of stuff.  Disappointed in you, Joe.

Hi Elly,

He’s getting at me from the Tipso thread, because I went into a mental decline at watching Andy lose, which I HATE.

Looks like my words sank in, though. I think I’ve got him worried.

I won’t be watching Andy lose anymore though. I’ve learnt my lesson. I’m recording the matches now and making sure he wins before I watch.

The same applied to my recording of poor little Sharapova last night. Can’t bear to watch her lose either, so I didn’t.

It’s just that I’m so sensitive. I can’t bear to watch my Idols looking sad.

And I’d be grateful if Joe didn’t keep on reminding us that Andy LOST the Aussie Open, especially when Federer, holding the Cup, derided us by saying he felt sorry for GB, because we hadn’t won a Grand Slam for “150,000 years”, and having the hostile crowd of Aussies laughing at us in hysterics.

Who looked like a clown after that?

Eh? Am I some big bad bully, upsetting the MW folk by disagreeing with them?

All I want is some evidence of a genuine decline or that there really is something to be worried about. Going into doom and gloom mood because he loses a single match or doesn't play as well as he can in another is just OTT.

Well you’re not upsetting me as you can see from my previous exchanges with Clydey below. You both cheered me up.

I didn’t know I was an “ OTT unhinged Andy Murray fanatic”, but now I do, but it’s not a problem. I’m quite happy about it.

It’s what’s come of my having had to wait 150,000 years for a chance of seeing a Brit win a Grand Slam.

You're not a fan if you mope around for a week after Andy loses. You're an unhinged fanatic.

Gee! That’s hilarious! You’ve REALLY cheered me up! I wondered what I was suffering from.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

roflmao  Keep going lads!  Pure free entertainment.  Can't wait for Andy's next match (as long as it's not the middle of the night).

Having finally got round to listening to his interview on the Beeb, I don't think there's too much to worry about.  Andy looked and sounded comfortable and relaxed, and I can imagine he was glad to get the hell out of Britain and away from our stifling media.  Fortunately Queens and Wimbledon are quite a long way off.
