For anyone who doesn't know, Andy will play Nadal at 6am UK time tomorrow and then, after 'minimal rest', will play the doubles final with Jamie!

Does anyone know the last time a player was involved in a singles and doubles final on the same day?  It can't happen very often.

Im very impressed with Andy this week he really is playing well enough to cause an upset tomorrow. The reason it would be an upset is due to the fact that he has lost now 5 times against Rafa in a row. Although some of those losses had very 'encouraging' elements on grass & clay & the WTF well, he should have won in my view (although Federer would have beaten him in the final so maybe it was for the best). If Novak can beat Rafa, so can Andy & if he is to be a genuine contender for number one & the slams then there is no getting around Nadal. But in singles & doubles you would have to say he's been brilliant this week, and Rafa.....less so.
So I'm very hopeful about tomorrow. Come on Andy, it's time to make a move for 2012 take Rafa out!

I know it's only a 500, but take a bow Andy Murray. Playing some outstanding stuff right now.

That must be the understatement of the year w00t

We never see Rafal, Djoko or Federer putting themselves in this position! There must be a good reason for that  Whistle
I dont know if Andy can be described as crazy or not, with Shanghi and him being the defending Champion there.  I'm sure there are advantages of playing doubles as well as disadvantages. But Andy is the boss!

So the match is at 2 pm local time, so 6 am UK time, 6 pm NZ time, and that does mean 5 am for Lashurst in Oslo hug  Welcome to my world!

Just looked it up and, seemingly, Rafa was the last man to do it in 2008.  Go Andy!

Are you sure the Tokyo final is on live. Where did you see this? The skysports website only mentions the China open but not Tokyo.
