Murray is now due to move on to Las Vegas for the Tennis Channel Open which begins on Monday, after which he will play, for the first time, back-to-back Masters Series events in Indian Wells, California, and in Miami.

This is not confirmed and I am just guessing but I think Andy might play doubles with Auckland.  James is in the Qualies draw, and seeing as they are both there I guess they may team up again.  This is just me guessing though.

I think that'd be a bad move - he's done so much in the past two weeks, and has so many more tournies left before he has a break - don't wanna get too tired!!  no

Andy has a tough match! Its 3rd seed Tommy Robredo in the first round. He does not play doubles.

Here is the singles draw http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/TrackIt.asp?file=/posting/2006/433/MDS.pdf

Neutral   Hmm - tough start for Andy - here's hoping his short break will have refreshed him mentally.  Las Vegas is 8 hours behind GMT, so looks as though we're heading for more late nights/early mornings. #-o

Oh gawd. Just as I was getting used to being awake during daylight hours. :P

Never mind. How soon before we know the schedule of play, will it be tonight or tomorrow morning our time?

Nope, though at least we'll get good coverage* of the Masters from Indian Wells and Miami.

Frown Sky haven't got the TV rights to any of these tournaments, not sure whether Eurosport have either, but if it's anywhere, it'll be on that station.

I watched the semis of the Rotterdam tourny on Sky (Rochus against Nieminnen) and turned it off as soon as the match finished, no Barry Cowen for me =D>

And I was wrong about the doubles Andy is only playing singles.  James Auckland lost in the 1st Qualie round 6-4 7-5.

This is something useful for Las Vegas :

Points AM is defending this week - 0

Points available-

1st round         5
2nd round        15
Quarters          40
Semis              75
Finals               120
Winner             175

Next week Andy's 18th best point will be 10 from Indianapolis:

After this week he will have around  816 points and be ranked around 40, so here are the possibilities according to Andy's performance:

1st round   No change in points, ranking may drop.
2nd round  816-10+15=821 points, rankings will remain same or rise by one place or so.
Quarters     816-10+40=846 points, rankings should rise to around 38
Semis         816-10+75=881 points, rankings should rise to around 35
Finals       816-10+120=926 points, rankings should rise to around 33
Winner       816-10+175=981 points, rankings should rise to around 30

So if Andy can reach the semis he may be seeded for Miami in three weeks time. Finals or a win sort of guarantees it.
