Those pictures were shot in Bristol apparently. Wish I'd known before-hand.

Shame, that, but it's interesting that he's consulted a specialist there and not in London, although I reckon he would be wanting to see the best regardless of where he had to travel to.

Dream big, because little dreams have little magic

^ Actually I did this without MM's permission because Andy looks so miserable in these photos that I wanted to cheer him up as soon as possible (give him a huge hug really!), but I've PMd her and told her what I've done on behalf of all of us MWers just in case she doesn't read the thread.  I think she'll be pretty chuffed though.  I expect Andy'll get it OK because I understand that normally messages are filtered through by staff, something which will take time.

Well,I think it was a great idea of yours!I really hope Andy does get it-like I said above,I think as a Murray fan (or as the man himself Smile ) It'd be impossible not to have your spirits raised by that terrific poem, which so sincerely and wonderfully expresses what we've all been feeling-and as we saw in those pics, our lad could (understandably) do with some cheering up right about now!

You weren't alone in wanting to hug him at the sight of those pics Aileen.I just hope he went home and Kim and the dogs helped him to feel a bit better.I saw on twitter that Kev M has said it's likely that he could now take up an invitation to some big boxing fight (there were names mentioned, but I'm clueless about boxing,so they meant nothing to me).We all know how much he loves his boxing,so if he does go hopefully that'll be a bit of a good distraction Smile

^ I'm so happy that he's got Kim and the dogs, and Kim will do all she can to buck him up, like she did after Wimbledon last year.  I don't know much about boxing either other than the fact that I hate watching it, but I'm sure Andy won't let this invitation pass him by.

Guys - I PMd Mark about this and, while the normal way of sending messages to Andy is through Entertain 19, he said that if I emailed him with this message he would pass it onto his contact there asking her to pass it on to Andy.  This he has now done. Smile

My "feeble" attempt ha ha

For Roland Garros you’ve taken a pass
Hopefully to make your return on grass
For us Murraysworld folks it won’t be the same
But to Wimbledon you’ll go to share your beautiful game

We all wish you well and hope you recover
To lift the Wimbledon crown without any bother
Our support you will have come what may
For you have already given us that “special day”.

Rest up, get well and come back even stronger
For we don’t want you missing for a moment longer
Us folks on Murraysworld all “have a dream”
That come July you’ll reign supreme.

Make sure you look after that back and take great care
For more special moments we all want to share
Tennis without Andy – doesn’t half lack
All of Murraysworld say “Haste ye Back”.

Good job......should be able to get it on facebook....too bad we couldn't get it directly to him.

As far as Andy pulling out of the French, I absolutely believe it's the right choice.  Supposing he had a few 5 setters, that would absolutely aggravate any injury to his back and then there would be little time to get better before grass season begun.  BTW while we all give our opinions, Andy is the only one plus his team who know exactly the injury he has.....so for many, it's just an opinion based on speculation.

^ Mark has emailed a copy of the poem to his contact at Andy's agents Entertain 19, asking her to pass it on to him, so hopefully he will get it and take some comfort from  it.

We want Andy to recover, not have a relapse. lol

What a wonderful poem, MM! Smile You could perhaps send it to Judy on twitter (@judmoo) - I'm sure she'd love reading it and could pass it onto Andy.

Ohh,that's another good idea for passing it on to him Katie!Judy's quite active on twitter,so it's quite likely she'd see it if you timed when you sent it right-perhaps when she was on and had just posted,or something.

love your poem MM - do hope it gets to Andy and that it gives him a lift.
Glad too that only one of our number has put their own enjoyment over Andy making a wise decision.  Actually I couldn't have enjoyed watching him at RG, knowing that each match could really do his back in big time.  So even though it won't be the same without him, I'm relieved he's made the right decision and pleased the comms all seem to be saying the same thing.
So I will now focus on hoping smugfed does as badly as possible and will cheer for baby fed as well as JWT and various others on a match by match basis.   And if Santoro is among the ITV comms again, that will be something to enjoy  Whistle
