Terrible timing for me. Ah well. A lot of great matches tomorrow.

I see Andy has the night match in the magic box -not before 8.30 UK time. That's good for all of you who can't be at home during the day but hope it doesn't start too late or go on too long.

Great. Bad timing for me, will be travelling. Wish it was at 10 or something....

Anyway, C'mon Andy! yay

Great timing of Andys match for me--- love watching tennis matches in evening!!
I should think Andy will be alright vs Simon but one can never tell.... could be a real grindfest as both guys know how to find the court with almost every shot. Hope Andy steps up and smacks a few!!

Simon will be a great practice for Andy. I don't see Berdcyh losing in his next round though I'll be hoping big, but I do think it will be great for Andy to meet with Berdych on clay.

Not before 4:30 a.m. is Andy's match for me....maybe it could start at 5:30 a.m. and I could watch while getting ready for work.  I will dvr it and if all I see is the end of the match I can watch it later.

So once again, good luck Andy!!  Don't look past Giles just because you have a great record against him.

It should be 2:30pm your time, Apollo. Andy's playing 9:30pm Madrid time, that's 8:30pm UK time at night. So it's 2:30om in the afternoon your time.

8.30 is pretty good for me. I might have to watch a bit of the second set while my carer is here at 9.30 or so, but I'll get them out of my way quickly. The carer won't mind being in and out quickly one bit lol.

I saw Gilles sitting courtside watching Andy's match against Mayer intently today.
I saw that too, watching intently he was. With Andy's 3-1 record against Giles on clay, history predicts a win, but it's dangerous to get complacent.

Still, I'll go for Andy in 2.

Highlights of the Madrid final in 2008 - that was so much better than clay!  Andy had dispensed with Fed in the SF and Giles had had an epic battle with Rafa.

Hope Murray pulls it off, but not expecting much. Clay for whatever reason -be it physical or psychological,  is a surface he has major difficulties with. Before folks start saying he should man up, and deal with it, lets not forget we all support the "flawed genius", that feat maybe beyond him. I still think after the Gold Medal and USO anything else he achieves is a bonus.  Great if he wins, but not a major tragedy if he loses. If he never gains many points on clay, then he never has many to defend. It's just a bit if the season to get through until the more interesting bits come along. Losing early in these tournaments also must mean he will have more left for later in the season.

I still suspect Djokovic's early exit relates to wanting plenty in the tank for the French Open. He might not have activity set out to lose, but I don't think he fought 100% to win.

I fear a lot will depend on how Andy has recovered from his match against Mayer, but I'm very optimistic if Andy is uninjured He has a great record against Simon and an evening slot as well

Andy in 2. I was impressed with him yesterday- he was moving well.
Agree. I think he will be in total command throughout. The h2h certainly would support that belief.

I think Simon goes into a match against Andy assuming he's going to lose cf his plaintive question to Andy in that Head clip -  when will you let me win?  But I never take anything for granted on the Murray roller coaster and Simon will make him work hard so I hope he's better acclimatised to playing in altitude than he was on tuesday.
