If Overend thinks Andy deserves a BAFTA for this, then he should have a look at footballers, who deserve knighthoods for their acting abilities when they aren't even injured!

Btw I agree with Castle that the sudden pain would have been a shock, and I imagine the reason Andy lay on the ground and then sat on the chair with his head in his hands was because, as he said himself, his first thought was that this was an injury which was going to put him out of the tournament - and that would have been a huge disappointment for him.
I can tell you I was surprised today when a Norwegian ES comm. said earlier he actually thought Andy could have broken his ankle when he fell. That was a refreshing change so at least someone has a different perspective!

In one of the interveiws he gave on tennis chanell,he said he knew that some pople were saying things about his injury,he also said "it's not my style to do that".I don't think he worrys half as much as we do.

Well for a start there was an x-ray which showed a tear in the muscle, so unless he so committed to fabrication he is willing to commit forgery, then I think we can assume there was an injury.  It was obviously not nearly as bad as first feared as any movement would have been difficult, let alone playing tennis against the world no.1!  Thing is Andy like most sports people is constantly fighting niggles and minor injuries and having had a few nasty ones, particularly in the first few years of his professional career he lives in fear of a bad one, this obviously felt like one when it happened, but as recovered and tested it, proved not to be - Voila!
I also think for the above reasons, he is perfectly suited to make the right choice in whether to play or not, as it is a minor injury, anything like a true inversion ankle injury and he'd be booking his hols to coincide with Wimbledon.

On a brighter note I'm worried if he does play because next up is Mallise who always rises to the Murray challenge when encouraged by the said Murray.

Apparently Andy is still concerned about his ankle according to the BBC.He says his next apponant  Tips something or the other is another very tricky player, maybe this is why he is playing in such a tentative manner. He doesn't feel that secure.

No crystal ball, but alongside Mallise I would put Warinka as the kind of player that fights well against Murray.  Maybe also Tipsarevic, though I don't know what his form is like recently. Anyway let's hope he progresses, because I would like to see him take on Fish and/or Querry this tournament, as for some reason losing to them, particularly Fish really annoyed me.  Amazing how quick the rallies are over on grass isn't it?

Is Fish playing?  I thought he pulled out.  It would have good to get revenge on Fish if they had met.  His behaviour last year really bugged me.

Glad I wasn't alone in that.  Well it'd be nice if he beat Querrey he's similar, in that he's tall and American.
