Unfortunately tradesmen can sometimes be unreliable, i.e. by failing to turn up when they're supposed to, and not all of them are highly skilled, and it's these ones who produce inferior workmanship, sometimes with disastrous consequences - like the joiner who was putting some skirting board in my loo and hammered a nail into a pipe!  That said, I have no objection at all to Joe using it because I know he's using it in the best possible sense.

Anyway I can't think of anything myself right now, but Linda's and Angie's seem very appropriate.

A tradesman can be a shopkeeper or anyone with a skilled trade. There are millions of them some good some bad. If tennis is a trade (and I would not say that it is) then any professional tennis player could call himself one.

I've always like that one Proddy, but it might be even more appropriate once he's won three or more Slams. Smile

Me too, captures the wonder of the moment and emphasises the true greatness of the achievement - not 'just' winning a slam but casting a monkey off not just his own back but that of an entire nation. How mant players can put that on their cv?  I do often refer to the muzz in texts - Brad Gilberts fault!

Maybe we could change it to History Man?  That sounds better than Boy.

I know 'multi' means more than one, according to the dictionary definition, but to me it's always suggested 'several'.  But let's not get bogged down in semantics. Very Happy

The only thing I can come up with right now is Wimbledon Wonder, but that sounds like a variety of flower or fruit!
