^ I actually have not passed much comment on matches since the clay season began.

I know it's not his best surface, although it was the one he spent most of his youth on.

Gawd's sake..... like everyone on here, I want him to do well, or else I would not have been a member for this long.

I just don't see it happening for him.  I truly don't, and I'm sorry if that offends people.

I wish people would have some patience and give Andy time.  Yes he has not been playing as well as last year but he is coming back into form. We know he doesnt like clay courts but he is improving.
CAN ANY OF YOU LOT PLAY TENNIS LIKE HIM
I dont think so. Please give him time he will come good.

^ Yes, it's total nonsense that Murray hasn't won a Grand Slam.  It's total nonsense that he's nowhere near Fed, Nadal, or any of the greats. He's losing to players ranked way below him.... where is your head at?  This doesn't bother me in the least, tbh.  I'm a huge fan, but I'm buggered if I'll kid myself on about his achievements.
I think we know where his head is, but he's so content with smelling the roses, he won't pull it out.

I may have my opinions, and they may not be popular, but at least I can keep a civil tongue in my head.
Kinda quiet, must've gone out for more beer. Well I guess to stay within the regs, I should say something on the subject............tennis...

Hmm so what can I say without getting yelled at lol Think
Andy's been fairly rubbish so far this year, even considering that he's not his best on clay, he's been worse than he was last year (I think, that is a view rather than based on me comparing his results because I can't be bothered to do so Smile )
The last couple have weeks have seen him improving a bit on the last few months. Hopefully he will be able to go further in RG this year than last, however if he doesn't I wouldn't be too shocked considering recent performances.
I'm not quoting but in a match thread somewhere someone (might have been James) pointed out he's winning pretty much without a serve when he wins at the moment. That's where I'm concerned about more than how he plays overall on clay. It's his attitude and crap serve that lets him down in my view Smile

And I say all this knowing that I can't even hit a tennis ball never mind play the sport so I know it's probably hypocritical for me to even have a view or dare to criticise Andy on this :lol

Right now, I have to say Rafa. He's playing like he wants it all, maybe because of his injury last year he didn't like the sideline. Just hope he doesn't go for too much and screw it up again. I think the final will be between him and Roger. Andy may make the quarters, semis maybe, if he wants it bad enough. I don't see him wanting it that bad. I think he's just waiting for grass.

^ I agree.  It hurt Rafa to be out last year.  All credit to him for coming back in the shape he has.  Some mental determination.  Rafa, Fed final I feel.  Given the draw, I don't see Andy in the Quarters, tbh.  Not on his current form.

So much negativity in here... wow.

I, for one, can't wait for clay season to be over.
Bring on Queen's and Wimbledon!

I don't think it's negativity.  Just a realistic outlook.

Ok, that's your opinion, I respect that.

But I personally don't agree with it.  Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
