Memphis Tournament..

Quote

He needs 4 more dropouts to be seeded, it could happen; Novak & Malise pulled out of San Jose so there's 2. I also think if Roddick goes onto win San Jose, he'll drop out as he played the Davis Cup the weekend before to so he'll be tired as hell. Blake looked out of sorts, he might be injured.

A lot of those players ranked above Andy are not actually better players... they've just played more matches and thus got more points. I think Andy could beat most of the people in that draw (here's hoping anyway!)

Yeah, looking at the list he's going to want to avoid Roddick, Blake (although, he looks a little off-form), Haas and Kiefer. I'd bet Murray the winner against pretty much anyone else in the draw  Whistle

I think those rankings are from when the official entry list came out, they will have changed by now because I'm sure he's ahead of Carlsen

Haas is certainly one to avoid. He's in tip top form at the moment.

Yep I think he is. Certainly deserves to be anyway!

Here is an updated list I did.  Andy is 12th so we still need 4 drop outs.

Roddick, Andy USA 3
Kiefer, Nicolas GER 12
Robredo, Tommy ESP 14
Ginepri, Robby USA 17
Blake, James USA 20
Haas, Tommy GER 29
Mirnyi, Max BLR 32
Malisse, Xavier BEL 42
Sanguinetti, Davide ITA 44
Tursunov, Dmitry RUS 50
Novak, Jiri CZE 58
Murray, Andy GBR 62

So with the dropouts MadSkaDude said before he could be seeded.

Like somone else said it doesn't really matter... but I suppose it would be nice Smile

Well it would help a lot because he wouldn't play one of the top 8 players in the draw until the quarter finals, and he wouldn't get any tough draws like playing Roddick early on.

Yep, but a seed can still fall early in a tournament.

I think even though he's ranked lower than Andy, Karlovic might be one to avoid.

Yeh but its the symbolism of being seeded! makes you sound important...

I actually think Murray could break Karlovic and beat him 76 64 or something. Murray seems to get a good idea of how the opponent is serving after a while, and besides, Karlovic always goes to net and Murray likes his passing shots  goodjob

Andy can beat anyone, but Karlovic can be a tough customer. Sure, he's mighty inconsistant, but he has his days.

Quite hopeful for Andy in this tourny. Go win it Andy! (but win San Jose first Smile ) I wish!
