Not wednesday, tuesday would be better. Wednesday will tire him and believe me he can go to the semis of this tournie easily.

are they actually considerate of previous tourneys? like do they give players a break who just came from finals?

Not sure - they might do - Its more publicity for them if they have big name players getting through to the final stages..

makes sense, so if they have to players from a semi and a final last week showing up they would give them a better chance

I think so. I don't think they HAVE to but I think they do.

i didn't say they had to... they'd just rather have an interesting tourney

Sorry, I wasn't commenting on what you'd just said, you just posted before I did. You're right, I mean, it's in the organisers best interests to give the top names a break.

Tourney directors are nice 90% of the time to players who reached the final the previous week Smile

I hope Murray plays Tuesday, his first round match will hopefully be 6-3 6-2 or something. He'll need Wednesday to rest then, as Kiefer is likley to be a 3 setter

Robredo lost Very Happy He seems to be out of form. Now if Blake plays as bad as he did last week, Murrays potential semi final could look good Smile

why must the draws be so  easy for him... others might notice that and say thats why andy keeps winning

Hey that's weird he's like 34 but has only just reached his highest ever ranking.

Have you SEEN the guy play? He's the very definition of Brad Gilbert's Winning Ugly. If it was legal to get the ball over the net with your backside, Sanguinetti'd probably do it. Federer he's not.

Robredo is out
Mirny is out
And Blake is losing to Vliegen

Also, apparently Kiefer is sick and *may* withdraw. This is a great oppotunity for Andy to win more rounds and pick up some points, I'd love to see him seeded for FO
