Djokovic has been awesome recently, and Murray has lacked the gametime to become sharp.
Would love a repeat of the Dubai match, but I think this one will be a lot tougher.

Andy's view:
Q. Will you have any anxiety about not having had enough court time going into the final?
ANDY MURRAY: I mean, I don't know. You don't really know the answer to that. You never know how you're gonna play on the day. Obviously, you know, you don't play a match for three or four days, it's different than if you played one, you know, one or two days ago.
But then the positives are that you're going to be fresh and physically feeling fine. So who knows. Wait and see on the day. It's never happened to me before. So I don't really know how I'm gonna feel for the final, but I'll definitely be fresh.

colsandbradders,
Yes! I personally want them to contest every final this year. An end to Fedal, I say.
Exactly. Fed can leave :x Nadal can stay though, I quite like him. I only dislike him when he's in a GS Semi against Murray (Something Andy can't seem to climb over) T___T

It will be interesting to see after Dubai what an on form Andy and a not flat Nole can do in the final. Got the potential for an amazing match

This could be a real barometer for the season. It matters here far more than in Dubai. I think Lendl has made a difference, but how much? We shall find out tomorrow!
I find this match almost impossible to call really. This would be a big win for Andy. Two consecutive wins over Nole would be huge as we head to the european dirt.
Nadal fans must be really worried, but you feel the great man will do all he can to be in decent shape for the slams at least, but I would not be confident about the rest. I have felt since Australia that this could well be the Nole v Andy year. I also feel that Andy will be a real force on clay this year as well.
It is sure to be a great match.

I agree.
Feel Djokovic is going to be so up for this - not wanting to lose consecutive matches to Andy.
Having seen how Djokovic opened up against both Ferrer and Monaco, Andy's going to have to be totally wired from the first point, else he will immediately be on the back foot.
Good luck, Andy - I have everything crossed for you.

I love Andy/Novak matches, they now seem to be developing a very interesting rivalry.

One thing to note from that H2H: these two have met each other three times in Masters finals - Andy has won every time (including this very tournament three years ago).
As has been said, I think this will be much more of a contest than in Dubai and Novak will be really up for it. I hope Andy is too.

Hi I'm new on this forum.
I'm hoping Andy has fully recovered from this bad stomach. I think Novak will start the stronger first set would probably go south, The second and third sets will be a tussle But I put my faith in Andy for both.
I also think this one's important.
So best of luck Andy! Were all behind you in my House

It would be great if the future is Murray/Djokovic. It would be the first competitive rivalry on the tour for many years - different from the predictable Fedal (Nadal usually wins) and Djokovic/Nadal (Djokovic wins) matches. It's interesting to watch two players who have very similar strengths (ROS, backhand) play each other and find a way to win.
Hopefully Andy can continue to improve on clay and start to challenge Novak on clay too. He was definitely really close in Rome last year, and it would add a new dynamic to the clay season which the commentators all seem to be predicting will be very much a Rafa/Novak battle.

Hi angrybeez, welcome to the forum.
I think Andy will be fine healthwise tomorrow - he said in an interview yesterday that his doctor gave him some tablets (after the problem reoccurred in practice) and he was fine yesterday. I agree with you about how the match might go - I can see Novak probably going up an early break and taking the first set, and Andy fighting back afterwards. Could be lots of breaks with Andy and Novak being such excellent returners.

For anybody who was having trouble with Tennis TV yesterday, i see they have tweeted
"No this will not happen for the finals. Once again, we are very sorry for yesterday's issues".
I signed up for a month to watch Andy play at IW and Miami. Missed his only match at IW because of timing (probably a good thing), 1st match at Miami not televised, 2 walkovers....I'm more than ready for tomorrow's match - hope Andy (and Tennis TV) are too!
Welcome to the newbies!
